More about Santa Cruz

What really sets Santa Cruz apart from the other skateboard brands of today is that they still offer many decks or cruiser skateboards like those that they produced in the past. They produce 7-ply maplewood decks. However, they are also known for their revolutionary deck constructions featuring their “Everslick” coating, “Powerply” construction with a reinforced nose/tail.
The screaming hand logo was created by Artist Jim Phillips in 1985. The howling appendage which has been emblazoned on t-shirts, skateboards, and stickers all over the world and is honored with a fitting tribute to its influential legacy.
A surf shop in Hawaii called Santa Cruz asking to place an order for some skateboards. They decided to make some skateboard decks with extra materials they had laying around for surf boards and the first ever Santa Cruz skateboards were produced in 1973.
The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors estimates decks made from wood planks will last about 15 years, while structural wood will give you 10 to 30 years. Composite decking will last anywhere from eight to 25 years.
Santa Cruz Skateboards looks back on more than 40 years history as a skateboard brand and is the oldest continues skateboard brand on the planet today. Founded 1973 by Richard Novak, Doug Haut and Jay Shuirman in Santa Cruz, California.
Yes, you can put your Dickies clothing in the wash with your normal load. Any work trousers with reflective sections, velcro fasteners, buttons or zips always turn them inside-out and close all zips and fastenings before washing. This reduces wear on the garment and thereby extends its life, as well as preventing those components from breaking in the wash. If you machine wash your trousers, make sure you do so on a low temperature and gentle spin cycle. Cold water ensures the material of the work trouser does not get damaged or shrink, and the slower spin cycle goes easy on the worn down sections of the trouser, not making them bigger or worse.
Traditional Dickies Pants are composed of 65/35 polyester/cotton, which gives them their crispness and heartiness. For the new Dickies pants they flipped the ratio to be 35/65 polyester/cotton, which makes for a more lightweight and flexible feel.
Comfort, style and durability are the main reasons why our riders choose Dickies. They simply want something durable that allows them to land their tricks and move freely without sacrificing style!
