You might have noticed a few things have changed at Two Seasons, the website looks different, stores are closed/opening, lots of sales going on etc.
To cut a long story short, the original founder of Two Seasons bought the brand back from the previous owners, and we're making some changes.
Find out what happened and what to expect.
So What happened ?
Two Seasons was founded by Stuart Roberts in 1983 and grew to a chain of multiple stores and online when in 2008 it was acquired by the Billabong international Group. Stuart remained with Billabong until they were also acquired by Boardriders (Quiksilver).
A UK multi brand retailer was not a good strategic fit for Boardriders and when Covid and lockdown hit, the entire UK retail operation was put into administration with 140 people losing their jobs.
Stuart was able to purchase the assets and name and started trading the Website with old stock in August with a small existing team and then re-opening the first store in Nottingham with the original Notts crew in October.
The excitement and loyalty from Two Seasons customers took the team by surprise and ensured a successful start to the newly formed independent business both online and the store.
However, due to the second lockdown, it meant we had to close Nottingham Two Seasons on 4th November, to follow the Government guidance. This won't stop us though, it's just a minor set back.
The 2S team are growing and now working hard on a new website, putting together an amazing curated range of product from top brands and some fresh up-and-coming new brands. The new website launch will be in March 2021,
More stores were due to re-open but recent events regarding lockdown has pushed these openings back into early 2021. The stated aim of the new 2S is to offer best customer experience online and through stores whilst promoting local events and athletes around our store locations and communities.
In the meantime Two Seasons has stock to clear so grab a bargain before it all goes and be part of the 2S journey as a new entity with old history. The best is yet to come.
