Nottingham Store

It’s not been an ideal start to the New Year with the tier 4 national lockdown meaning we’ve had to close our doors to the public… for the third time!

However we’re always trying to look on the bright side and this downtime has allowed us to focus on some more ‘behind the scenes’ work. From stock and merch in store, to working with new brands, researching ethical companies, team training on technical fabrics, and planning future events – we’re busy building the best store we can for you.

Lockdown is tough, it’s at times like this that community really shows its strength so don’t forget to reach out and check in! We miss you and look forward to seeing you all again, we will open our doors as soon as we have the official nod. Until then, be safe, look after each other and keep being excellent.

See you soon!

Brett, and the Nottingham team!

Two Seasons Nottingham Reopening October 2020

Two Seasons went into administration (aka struggling to pay bills with stores being closed) under the previous owners due to the COVID restriction which forced all the stores to close.

The original founder of Two Seasons, Stuart Roberts, who setup Two Seasons in 1983, and a group of fellow snowboard, surfers and skiers bought the brand back. With the help of old and new Two Seasons team members, we’ve set about rebuilding Two Seasons.

First up was the website. We only had 48 hours to get a new website setup, so opted for setting up a clearance site to get things up and running. We also plan to reopen a select amount of stores in the coming 12 months.

Nottingham Two Seasons, a brief history and a new future

Back in 1998 Two Seasons was a (very) small independent retailer. We opened a store in an old Video rental shop on Pelham Street Nottingham, after the success of Two Seasons stores in other Midlands towns.

The store specialised in skate streetwear and a selection of snowboard hardware and clothing.

We were committed to making it work, to say the least! The manager lived in the store and thanks to the had work of the team, the store became a destination for east midland snowboarders.

This lead to expanding the store in 2004 and we moved across the road to Fletcher Gate coinciding with the new Net Trams. The extra space saw an expansion of snow products and surf.

Then in 2010 we knocked through and the store doubled in size, along with opening the ELEMENT Skate store.

Two seasons was now owned by Billabong/Element International so had access to exclusive Element product and it became the leading store in the UK for Element sales and became an iconic destination with snowboard and skate central to its unique offer.

What to expect going forward

The team lead by Manager Brett are back from October 17th 2020. The store will offer the best of what was purchased from stock at the closure of the business with unbelievable pricing and reductions on favourites such as Vans, Santa Cruz and of course Element, skate hardware and snow product.

This is a transition period whilst the business battles through Covid restrictions but in NEW YEAR 2021 the store will undergo a mini refit and introduce new exciting skate/street/surf brands to sit alongside 2S staples.

The new concept will be a unique customer experience with a curated offer of best in skate and streetwear and new brands. Surf junkies will also be catered for with a broader brand portfolio from across the globe.

But in the meantime grab yourself a deal on all the brands you know and love.

What about the other Two Seasons Stores?

The Billabong group was purchased by Quiksilver in 2018 and when Covid shutdown closed the Two Seasons stores it was put into administration with all Two Seasons Stores closing in July 2020.

The 3rd August 2020 saw original founder Stuart Roberts purchase the brand and start trading the website with a mission to try and reopen some selected stores.

At the time of writing (October 2020) we’re still in negotiations with landlords on other locations around the UK.
